Congratulations on signing up for your Ghost Path account! Your internet activity is about to get a lot more secure.
Getting Your Username and Password
Once you sign up you'll be emailed a @ghostpath.com username and temporary password. If you paid with PayPal, make sure you check your PayPal email address.
Important! The password you receive should be changed as soon as you log into our website for the first time. I recommend using a password manager like 1Password or Lastpass to generate and store your passwords.
Downloading the Ghost Path App
We have a Windows and Mac version of or Ghost Path VPN client. You'll be able to download the app once you login to the website.
Once you've installed the app you'll want to enter your username and password, then choose which VPN server you want to connect to.
Choosing a VPN Server
When choosing a server there are typically 2 different methodologies.
#1 - You don't care about which server you're connected to, you just want the VPN protection. In this case, just choose the closest server to you in the Ghost Path app. That will get you the best possible connection speeds.
#2 - You're looking to connect to a specific city or country for a variety of reasons. In this case, just choose the city/country that you want to connect to and go for it. The speeds may be a bit slower if you're connecting to a VPN server that is geographically far away from you, but you will show up as being in that area.
